Anja Koal studierte Philosophie, Soziologie und Bildende Kunst  an der Kunstakademie Düsseldorf. Sie ist Meisterschülerin bei Prof. Anzinger für Malerei und Grafik und lebt und arbeitet im Rheinland und im Spreewald. In ihren Arbeiten untersucht sie die Zwischenräume von Natur und Zivilisation sowie die Transformation von Wahrnehmung durch Malerei..

Anja Koal studied Philosophy, Sociology, and Fine Arts at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf. She is a Master Student of Prof. Siegfried Anzinger, specializing in painting and printmaking. Based in the Spreewald near Berlin and Düsseldorf, her practice investigates the intersections of nature and civilization. Through the medium of painting, Koal explores the liminal spaces of the modern landscape and the transformation of human perception.
